How to use it

    Drop an image here

    PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF. The tool reads the picture and traces it at once with settings chosen for it. Logos, lettering and flat artwork come out cleanest.

    Choose a Method

    In the Style tab, pick what the picture is: silhouette, logo, illustration, portrait or line art. One click sets every control. Auto Settings lets the tool choose from the picture.

    Set the Mode

    B&W gives one solid color, Color keeps flat colors, Edge traces outlines as strokes. Under Color, Color Count is how many colors the SVG holds.

    Tune Smoothness and Simplify

    In the Trace tab. Low values follow every pixel of the edge and make a heavy file. High values give flowing curves and fewer nodes. Raise them until the shape softens, then step back.

    Export SVG

    The file downloads with a tight viewBox around the drawing. Open it in any vector app, or save the project to your account to reopen it with every setting.

About this tool

Image to Vector traces a picture into vector shapes. Drop in a logo, lettering or an illustration and you get an SVG that stays sharp at any size. Photos come out as posters with a fixed number of colors.

You get an SVG with clean paths for Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma or a cutting machine. Choose one color, flat colors or outlines only, and set how many colors the file may hold. A saved project reopens with every setting.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. Every feature and every export is free, with no account and no watermark. An account is optional and only keeps your projects so you can reopen them on another device.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser and your files stay on your device. The only thing that leaves it is a project you choose to save to your account.

What images vectorize best?

Logos, lettering, icons and flat illustrations, because tracing follows edges. A photo works as a poster: choose Portrait or Poster and a small number of colors.

Can I edit the SVG afterwards?

Yes. Every shape is a normal path with a fill, so Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity and Figma open it and edit it like any other vector file.
